Reviewer's Thoughts:

Whenever I see a movie-themed map, I am skeptical about the map's ability to do justice to the film it pays tribute to. This map however worked quite nicely to the Matrix theme. Each section of the level seems to relate back to some event/location within one of the three Matrix movies. The map is quite spread out and allows for a large number of players to comfortably move about. I would not say that the geometry of the level is terribly complicated, but again it really works with the gothic city feel of the map (and frankly sometimes more is better). I feel that this level would appeal to a large number of players since it has a lot of great places to wait and snipe but at the same time, many blind corners that a player can ambush their opponent from. There were a number of custom textures included in the map, which added nicely to the map, including billboards of Matrix characters and other such elements which were incorporated into the film. I was kind of torn about how much I liked the lighting. On one hand the lighting was somewhat unsourced and a bit unrealistic, but on the other hand I dont feel that the map necessarily need to have that realistic edge (the movie itself was not that 'realistic'). I loved the inventory placement and quantity, which I find in maps of this size to be relatively sparse. Overall I really enjoyed this map and I would recommend any unreal player to give this one a shot (especiallly if you are a Matrix fan!)

Texturing: 8.5/10
