Reviewer's Thoughts:

As one might have expected, BeWilderBeest has delivered another "quality" map, reminiscent of the original Unreal mapping style used so long ago. The map takes place in a Nali water sanctuary, which seems to be embedded into a hill or mountainside. At first glance, the map seems to contain all the features that make a map great, with soft, well-sourced lighting, and simple but elegant geometry (I especially like the arches in the room with the armor) and near-perfect texturing. I can tell that BeWilder has carefully selected the location and density of decorations, to accent certain parts of the map without overcomplicating. The map has a good flow during gameplay, giving players multiple options to choose from in various circumstances as well as decent Z-Axis potential. For those who like to play offline: Good News! The map is very well path noded (not to be taken for granted). Despite this being a really solid map, I did see a few areas which could use some improvement. First of all, I noticed that inventory items are somewhat far and few between (especially ammo) and I found myself cornered by ruthless bots without ammo a few times when playing with four to six bots (I may be trigger happy though… ;) ). Second, I found that there are not many places to hide and you are left out in the open for most of the time, leaving running the only refuge from your opponents (I like to have some cover, if I need it). Overall, this is one of the better maps that I have seen in a while and I expect to see it on online servers soon, due to it’s economical file size. I look forward to BeWilderBeest’s next release!
