Reviewer's Thoughts:
After seeing the title of this map, I had to give it a try, and for the most part, I am glad that I did. This map takes place in some sort of astroid base and considering that this is the first map that the author has created (or so they say) it is pretty good. I really liked the geometry of the map, which had a lot of rocky and believeable terrain and the author made a number of neat decorations such as a sattelite dish, machines and walkways. The texturing was good and most of the textures were well chosen and aligned (some textures were a bit drab but all in all good). The author took the time to node the map and the bots move through it fairly well, however do not seem to capitalize on some of the invantory located on the slopes of the rocks. I found that the playability and inventory were satisfactory and the map had a decent flow (however the doors could move faster, and the lifts could wait longer while you orient yourself toward the exit). Two things bothered me about this map and I wonder why they were not better done. The first is that the quality of the skybox surrounding the level is considerably poor compared with the rest of the map and it REALLY kills the ambience (unfortunately this stuck out but could have easily been done better). The second weakness of the map is the lack of creative and well thought lighting. Again considering the other complexities of the map, the lighting got hardly any attention and could have been way better. Overall, I liked this map and I would recommend at least giving it a try.
